Howard has been an integral part of George Pickett & Associates since its founding by his father in 1962. He began his career with the company working part-time throughout high school and college while attending North Carolina State University. During his time at NC State, Howard was a member of the 1974 NCAA National Championship basketball team, playing as a shooting guard.

Following his graduation, Howard joined the agency full-time in 1976. Over the years, he has developed extensive experience across all areas of the organization, with roles spanning warehouse operations, inside sales, and outside sales. His responsibilities have included territory management throughout both the Carolinas and Virginia. In 1997, Howard purchased the agency from his father and has since played a key leadership role in its continued growth and success. Today, he serves as a consultant to the company.

Howard completed the Certified Professional Manufacturer’s Representative (CPMR) Program in 1995.

Taylor joined George Pickett & Associates in August 2011, initially working part-time in the warehouse while attending North Carolina State University. After graduating in 2012, he transitioned into the inside sales team and was promoted to Virginia Outside Sales Representative in November 2014.

In 2022, Taylor was appointed Vice President of Sales and later returned to the company’s home office in Apex, North Carolina. Beginning in January 2026, he assumed the role of President. In this capacity, Taylor manages and supports GP&A’s strategic accounts in and key territories Raleigh and Charlotte, North Carolina. Taylor completed the Certified Professional Sales Consultant (CPSC) Program in May 2017 and earned his Certified Professional Manufacturer’s Representative (CPMR) designation in April 2021.

Jonathan joined GP&A in December 2020 as our South Carolina Outside Salesmen. Jonathan was the Eastern Regional Sales Manager of Current Tools for over 7 years, traveling up and down the east coast calling on contractors and distributors. He has over 27 years of experience in sales in the electrical and construction industries. He completed the Certified Professional Sales Consultant program in August of 2023.

During his free time Jonathan enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is also a huge University of South Carolina fan and attends many of their sporting events.

Jake joined our agency part time working in the warehouse in May 2015 while attending North Carolina State University. He graduated in 2016 with a degree in Agriculture and Environmental Technology. He started full-time in 2016 as our Supply Chain Manager and quickly moved to our inside sales team. Jake started outside sales in Eastern North Carolina in 2018. He completed the Certified Professional Sales Consultant program in October 2021.

During his free time Jake enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs. He is also a huge music fan. Jake and his wife travel to many concerts throughout the country. He also plays the mandolin and guitar in a local band.

Stewart started working part time for GP&A in January 2019 in the warehouse while attending North Carolina State University. After graduating in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in History, he joined the inside sales team and learned everything associated with the company from the inside out. He also managed our production/assembly team to help put material together for our manufacturers. Stewart moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina in March of 2025 to become our Western North Carolina Outside Salesmen.

Stewart is a NC State athletics enthusiast and tries to attend as many football and basketball games as possible. He also is an avid disc golfer, enjoys traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.
